Rent a motorboat for excursions or fishing
Important information
Slow boats (2-6 hp) are best suited to fishing or excursions in the nearby waters. We require renters to have experience operating a motorboat. For novices, we recommend our course Learn to operate a motorboat.
We also recommend the Archipelago Boater course or an international yacht driver’s licence.
Fast boats only for experienced boaters
Our fast boats – Vilmari, Faster and Buster – are only rented out to highly experienced and careful boaters, who are familiar with navigation and have operated similar boats.
Boaters should stay in the fairways in the rocky waters of Lake Saimaa, unless they are coming ashore. Special care should be taken when fishing.
Vilmari and Faster are not rented out for fishing without a guide. It is strictly forbidden to operate a boat while intoxicated. If we notice that this rule is violated, we will cancel the rental agreement immediately.
Rental agreement and boat inspection
Before the boat is rented out, we will make a rental agreement. The renter will be asked to pay a deposit, which is equal to the deductible in the boat insurance policy. The deposit will be refunded when the boat is returned undamaged and tidy.
We will inspect the boat and motor together with the customer before and after the boat is rented out. We charge €15 for minor scratches. If the boat is not cleaned, we will charge €30 cleaning fee.
For slow boats and motors (2 – 6 hp) we offer a 25% discount for those staying at Nestorinranta.
Honda 2,3 hp outboard motor
A small outboard motor can be rented separately and used with the customer’s own boat or the rowing boat at a rented cottage. Customers using outboard motors must have experience in operating an outboard motor of a similar size. The boat rental terms apply to renting outboard motors.

A small electric outboard motor can be hired separately and used with the customer’s own boat or the rowing boat at a rented cottage.
